Light drawing at North Cambridge Academy

Here I am with my bike lights, during a really exciting art day for years 7-10 at North Cambridge Academy.  Johann Arens is the artist in residence at the school and the amazing engagment team at Kettle’s Yard are implementing his ideas with their usual energy and attention to detail.  There were 4 other artists running events concurrently, and between us we worked with 450 students. My session was light photography. I’m doing a tame light drawing demonstration (after last time when I managed to draw a penis on my colleagues head by mistake) and then the students took it to another level.  Apart from a surprise picnic lunch with the other artists, a  highlight for me was when Filipa Pereira-Stubbs joined the session with her wild music and notched the energy level up to the max.
